Bali Airport Traffic Surges During Easter Holiday

The air traffic of Bali Ngurah Rai International airport has surged during the Easter holiday season.

The Stakeholder Relations Manager of Angkasa Pura I Ltd for Ngurah Rai Airport, Taufan Yudhistira said that over 8 thousand passengers have entered Bali airport in one day. “Yesterday, Thursday (1/4) we had 8,875 passengers arriving at the airport from 63 different flights.” said Yudhistira on Friday (2/4). According to his data, the amount of passengers on Thursday was the highest in comparison with the total passengers in previous months.

Meanwhile Bali airport was departing 5,418 passengers from 60 different flights on Thursday (1/4). Yudhistira predicted that Friday (2/4) would be the peak of domestic arrival with 2- 4 percent increase from the total flights on Thursday. “From January to March 2021, the average number of passengers going through the domestic terminal was 5,293 people that consisted of 2,473 arrivals and 2,820 departures, but in March alone the average was 8,532 passengers that consisted of 4,346 arrivals and 4,186 departures.” Yudhistira added.

The Tourism Minister, Sandiaga Uno has visited some tourism and economic creative businesses in Bali to inspect their preparation stage before starting his travel corridor arrangement program in near future. “I really appreciate the enthusiasm of the tourism businesses in Bali and I received many suggestions from them during my visit. I keep on communicating our program with some related ministers, and we just need to wait for the final decision that will be made by the President in near future.” Sandiaga said during his visit on Tuesday evening (30/3).
